Down On The Farm

Have you always wanted to become a real Farmer? Living off your crops and livestock, entering the small town fair, and making your meals from fresh sources? That's what this challenge is all about. This one doesn't follow a specific storyline, but rather a specific way of life.

Rules

  • No more than an 8 person household.

    • But all 8 can help with the chores.​

  • Life length and seasons are up to you. 

  • Must have lot trait challenges: "Wild Foxes" & "Simple Living".

  • You may make your farm off-grid. 

  • Must complete the Aspiration: Country Caretaker.

  • May use water collecting mods or firewood mods. 

  • You may have a pond with fish.

  • You cannot sell the fish, but you can eat it and gift it.

  • You do not have to live in Henford-on-Bagley if you dont want to.

  • You must be a Farmer, no other job.

    • Make money and acquire groceries from your crops and animals. 

  • No selling cross-stiching.

    • You can engage in the hobby though, and decorate your house or give as gifts. But it cannot be used for money.

  • No selling flower arranging.

    • You can engage in the hobby though and decorate or gift flower arrangements, but you cannot use them for money.

  • Must always get groceries from the vendor, no deliveries!

  • Must have a cow, llama, chicken and rooster.

    • Can have multiples if you want.

    • NO animal mods. So no goats, pigs, etc. USe only what the pack has. 

  • Must have a Bird Tree & Bunny Burrow. 

    • This means you have to do the things to gain access to these items. No cheating to get them!​

  • Must have high friendships with ALL animals. 

  • You may have dogs and cats if you want, but they should be "outdoor" pets. 

    • My grandparents were famers in real life and every one of their dogs was an "outdoor" dog. Only ever came into the house during severe weather storms, but otherwise lived outside. There were always "barn cats" too, that lived all their lives as "outdoor" cats. So that's what I mean by "outdoor" dogs and cats. ​

  • Must have chicks at least once. 

    • Must be born of the chickens you already have.

  • No mods to help with animal care, like cleaning the cows less often, or hiring a farm hand.

  • Must have at least one oversized crop.

    • Can grow as many crops/plants as you want though. 

  • No plant mods! No icemunmun, etc.

  • Must always enter into the town fairs, every single one.

    • Acquire all the prizes.

    • Display them proudly in your home.

Challenge Ends when your main Sim dies of old age.
